Nice to meet you!
What to Expect
Each Sunday we gather at 10:00 a.m. at Gloria Dei Church for either a Traditional or Contemporary Service, depending on the Sunday. Services are also available for viewing by going to the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church Facebook page for our live stream. Our more traditional service uses piano, liturgy, traditional and contemporary songs. Our contemporary service uses a keyboard, guitars and drums along with the liturgy and more contemporary songs.
We invite you to come as you are. You will find some people in dresses and suits and others in jeans and sweatshirts. There is no dress code. Be comfortable! We will not ask visitors to stand up or wear a name tag. The worship service usually lasts 60 minutes. Gloria Dei truly embraces the presence of children in worship, recognizing that their energy and curiosity are part of their faith journey. The inclusion of a children’s sermonette ensures that young ones feel engaged and valued in the service. We expect them to make noise and need to wiggle; they are growing in understanding and learning to be part of the church family. We encourage families to worship together without pressure or expectations.
Holy Communion is the part of our worship that sustains followers of Jesus Christ. Gloria Dei invites all who believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior to participate as his guest at this table. Holy Communion is usually celebrated on the second and fourth Sunday of every month and occasionally at other times. Those who do not yet commune are welcome to come forward and receive a blessing. Gluten-free wafers are always available.
What We Believe
Faith isn’t just something we practice in certain moments—it’s woven into every aspect of life. Connecting faith with daily experiences and equipping people to do God’s work is a powerful mission.
There are many ways to integrate faith into everyday life, from noticing God’s presence in small moments to actively serving others and living out Christian values in work and relationships. Walking by faith means trusting God in all circumstances and making choices that reflect His love and guidance.
